This blog post is to one of my original practice models.
First up is my first session with Miss E. She was about to turn 1. I was using a Nikon d5100 with a 35mm 1.8 lens. I was just learning to shoot in RAW and this session was in jpeg. The only reason it was in jpeg is because I forgot to check before I started. I was so mad when I got home that it was all in jpeg! I haven’t made that mistake again! This is straight out of the camera with no edits.
Here is an image a year later. I was using a Nikon d610 with a 85 mm 1.8 lens. I loved the lighting and location but not loving my editing. I should have brought down the red and warmed it up a bit.
Here is a slightly different picture, same location but edited with my style today. I toned down the red and brightened it up a little.
Last pictures was just taken last week with the d610 and a sigma art 35mm 1.4 lens. It is warmer then my other images. I have let go of the “rules” and embraced that the limbs are cut off. Normally, I would not have included this kind of photo or shared it but look how happy they are!
Hope you enjoyed my #flashbackfriday post
